Nissan Teana

Nissan has manufactured many car in various types, sedan hatch etc. Now Nissan has revealed its new car, Teana at the Tokyo Motor show.
It is a D+ segment car which will compete with cars like Honda Accord, Skoda Superb, Toyota Camry etc.
this car is powered by 2.4 L V6 petrol engine which will give a power of about 170 Bhp @ 6000rpm and torque of about 224 Nm @4400 rpm. It has got a 4 speed automatic transmission.
The dimensions of the car are : 1485 mm X 1765 mm X 4845 mm.


The seating capacity of the car are 5 persons and has a boot space of 476 liters.
the design of this car is bit different form others. It has got huge lights which are xenon headlamps and the grill is 4 spoke with a big Nissan logo in the center.
There a re alot of lines on the car giving a very muscular look. In the rear lights are wrap around. It gives a very luxury look to the car.
Keeping the safety in mind it has got 4 airbags with ABS , EBD, ESP.
the interiors of the car also good. It has used a dual tone color for the dashboard and plastic used is also good. the steering wheel is a 4 spoke wheel which can be adjusted according to the height.
The price of the car is huge it is about 25 lakhs and will be available in early 2009.

Suzuki Grand Vitara

Maruti Suzuki is one of the leaders in manufacturing cars. They have created top class car. they have toped each segment of the car, whether it is sedan, hatch or SUV.
The Suzuki Grand Vitara is a compact SUV that uses a V6 engine, which is a 2.7 l engine generating a power of about 187 HP and torque of about 185 pound feet.




IT is offered in three trim levels, base, Xsport and luxury. The base model comes with 5 speed manual transmission and automatic transmission is optional and the other two models comes with automatic transmimission.

Hyundai Accent Hatchback

Hyundai is a premier manufacturer of car allover the world. It has given car that are stylish and good and even luxurious.
Wit the increasing market of the hatch in the world and the latest trend of launching the sedan and hatch version of the car, Hyundai is launching a hatch version of the Accent Sedan.


The new Accent will be powered by a 1.6 l DOHC in line four cylinder engine which will give power of about 110 HP @ 6000 rpm and torque of about 106 pound feet @4500 rpm. It will come in both automatic and manual transmission. With manual transmission it will give milage of 27 in city and 32 ion highways and automatic transmission will give millage of 24 in city and 33 on highways.
The basic design of the car remains the same. It has got big halogen headlamps, with body colored grill. It has variable intermitted windshield wipers.
It has also got a6 way manual adjustable driver seat adjustment, with a driver armrest. The instrument cluster include an odometer, trip odometer, tachometer, coolant temp, fuel level, digital clock, also oil pressure indicator, battery, door ajar and check engine indicator.
It also has Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.
For safety, it has airbags for driver and front passenger and also side impact airbags for the same.
This car will be available in 2009. This car will be available at a price of $ 13000- $ 14000.

Mitsubishi's Lancer Sportback

Mitsubishi is a premier manufacturer of sedans and SUV in world. With the increasing market of hatch back in the world, Mitsubishi will try to expand its small car segment in the world. To make their presence felt in the small segment, Mitsubishi is planing ot launch a sportback car in the market.



It will soon be launching 5 door Lancer sportback. It has different design than other car ass being a sportback car. It has a lot of line giving a muscular look to the car. It has a big grill in front and and lights are elongalted giving a very sporty feel to the car. In the rear, the tail lamp is big and is wrap around.
It will be launched in 2 variants. 2.0 l turbocharged Ralliart , four cylinder, all wheel drive with 6 dual clutch transmission and gives a power of about 237 HP and 2.4 L GTS, which will be a four cylinder engine and will give power upto 168 HP. This will come with a five speed manual transmission or CVT.
This car is expected to be launched in 2010 summer.

Fiat's Grande Punto

Fiat is now trying to improve their position. They are now trying to lay car in almost every segment. Their must awaited car Liena, which isa sedan, was launched in India last month. They are planning to launch another car in the hatch segment.

Fiat next launch i India would be the Fiat Grande Punto, a B segment car. It will face a lot of challenges as every manufacturer is focusing on this segment. It main competition will be with Maruti Swift, Skoda Fabia, Hyundai i20, Honda Jazz( still to be launched).
The Grande Punto is the third generation of the Punto, which was launched in 2005. Styling of the Punto id different. It has got huge lights which are sloped back. It has got a buityful body, a lot of line, giving it a muscular look to the car. In the rear, the tail light are different from other car, they are small and is along side the rear glass and are wrap around and big.
the interior of the car is airy, big and comfortable. The plastic used is good and give a fresh feel to the car.
the car comes in three variants. It is powered by a a1.2 l and 1.4l petrol engine whichs gives a power of about 65 HP and 77HP respectively to the car.
It will also come in 1.3 l multi-jet desiel engine which will cgive a power of about 88 PS to the car.
It has got ABS and EBD as the safety features.
The dimensions of the car are 403.0 mm X1687 mm X 1490 mm, a lot of space...
This car is expected to be launched in may-june time and expected price of the car will be around 5-7 lakhs.

Chevrolet Aveo5

Aveo is one of the best cars from Chevrolet after Optra. Due to its good response and the increasing company of hatchback, Chevrolet is planning to launch a hatch version of Aveo sedan called the Aveo5.


It uses a 1.6 l DOHC engine with variable valve timing which gives a power of about 107 HP and torque of about 106 pound feed. This engine promises to give an average of 26 in city and 34 at highway.
It is available in 5 speed manual transmission and 4 speed automatic gearbox.
the exterior are quite similar to Aveo sedan. It has got a big trapezoidal grill with a big Chevrolet logo in the center.The head lamps are simple and are halogen composite.
The interior of this car gives a new feel to the car. It is quite refreshing. It gives a feel of an expensive luxury car. It has a a four channel ABS system.
